Here at Wells Insurance, in Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach and Southport, NC and in Myrtle Beach, SC, our fast-growing, agency—one of the largest in its region—takes our commercial, personal, marine insurance and employee benefits customers into the cutting edge of 21st century protection.

 

Our 4th generation privately-owned agency was founded in 1920 by Harold W. Wells Sr.   His son, Harold W. Wells Jr., joined his father’s firm in the 1930’s and remained active until 1970’s. From the 1960’s through the 2000’s, third generation Harold W. Wells III led the helm. Today, Harold serves as Chairman while sons Harold “Hal” Wells IV and Steve Wells serve as co-presidents and CEO/COO respectively.

 

With four distinct pillars of focus, Wells Insurance serves nearly every niche in the insurance business. Personal Insurance covers your home, auto, life insurance, healthcare and other personal needs. Our Commercial Lines of insurance cover a huge range of industries from small businesses to game-changing heavy-hitters with thousands of employees in almost every state in the US. Our Employee Benefits division serves the needs of employer-covered healthcare and supplemental coverage. And our Marine Insurance division covers everything from small boats, to yachts, to commercial vessels.
