Wells Insurance is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and computer proficient Account Manager for their Life and Health Divisions in their Wilmington, North Carolina office.

 

Wells Insurance is one of the largest and most established insurance agencies in North Carolina.  Currently representing A+ rated regional and national carriers and providing coverage to individuals and corporations across 39 states.

Job Requirements

  • Valid North Carolina Life & Health insurance license

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in insurance industry

  • Manage an assigned book of business
  • Experience evaluating renewals and proposals to ensure accuracy
  • Experience preparing proposals
  • Participates in client meetings and works with producers to provide the most effective solution to an organization’s benefits plan
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for the client, resolves escalated benefits issues; responds to questions concerning qualifying events, acquisitions and compliance concerns
  • Advanced understanding of compliance (i.e. COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, ACA) concerning employee benefit plans
  • Expert in Excel

  • Possess above average computer proficiency and the ability to work on multiple screens

  • Ability to work as a team member

  • Must have exceptional time management skills and be organized and detail-oriented

  • Must pass a background check

  • Must have a valid NC drivers license & transportation

Preferred Qualities

  • College Degree

  • Med Supplement insurance license

  • Current Experience with TAM system
  • Experience in Underwriting

  • Positive and dynamic team player

  • Inquisitive and excited to learn

  • Love change and be flexible!

  • Sense of humor
