Gary Jacobs

Gary Jacobs is the Human Resources Manager at Wells Insurance and brings more than ten years of experience in human resources, operations, and leadership.

He graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Human Resource Management. Gary’s professional background is rooted in 20 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed a strong foundation in leadership, training, operational planning, and team development.

Following his military career, Gary transitioned into human resources roles across both public-sector and nonprofit organizations. His experience includes employee and labor relations, talent management, learning and development, staffing, and policy implementation. He has also supported leadership teams through complex employee relations matters, investigations, and operational improvements.

At Wells Insurance, Gary partners with teams across the organization to support performance, compliance, and a strong workplace culture. He maintains his SHRM-SCP certification and remains actively involved in mentoring and workforce development initiatives.

Gary lives in Hampstead, North Carolina and enjoys learning to play golf, working on carpentry projects, and exploring new hobbies.
