Laura Knowles

Laura Knowles serves as Personal Lines Performance Manager at Wells Insurance, where she focuses on department operations, employee training, and team development to ensure a high level of service for clients.

She began her insurance career in 1989 with a local family-owned agency as a claims processor. With no prior insurance experience, Laura quickly discovered a passion for helping people and built a long and successful career in the industry. Over the years she advanced through the organization and was eventually promoted to Vice President.

After the agency was acquired by a regional bank, Laura decided she preferred the culture and relationships found in a family-owned agency. She joined Wells Insurance in 2010 as a Private Client Advisor working with high-net-worth clients before moving into her current leadership role.

Laura lives in Wilmington with her husband, David, and is the proud “Mom Mom” to four grandchildren. She enjoys reading, traveling to the mountains, and spending time with family and friends.
