Wells Insurance Recognized Among Nation's Top Independent Insurance Agencies for 2026

For the second consecutive year, Wells Insurance has earned the prestigious Best Practices Agency designation, placing us among fewer than 1% of independent insurance agencies nationwide to hold this distinction.

With approximately 37,000 independent insurance agencies across the United States, just 300 qualified for and maintained Best Practices Agency status in 2026. We're proud to once again be among them.

What Makes a Best Practices Agency?

Unlike awards based on public voting or popularity, the Best Practices designation is earned through a rigorous evaluation of an agency's financial and operational performance.

Since 1993, the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big "I") and Reagan Consulting have partnered to identify and study the nation's leading independent insurance agencies.

Agencies are nominated by insurance carriers, state associations, or themselves. Those participating submit detailed financial and operational data that is evaluated against key performance measures, including:

• Financial stability and profitability
• Sustainable growth
• Operational efficiency and productivity
• Expense management

More than 1,190 agencies were nominated for the current three-year study cycle, with just 300 qualifying for and maintaining the designation in 2026.
